Hill suspended indefinitely

Rising sophomore running back Jeremy Hill has been indefinitely suspended after a misdemeanor assault arrest over the weekend. Come inside with TSD to discuss the latest.

LSU running back Jeremy Hill is indefinitely suspended from the football team, Les Miles announced Monday in a news release from the university's sports information department.

Hill was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning for simple battery, a misdemeanor offense, springing from an alleged incident outside Reggie's, a bar just off campus. Hill and another unidentified suspect are alleged to have beaten a 20-year-old victim to the point of unconsciousness.

Miles withheld from further comment in the release, instead choosing to let the legal system take its course first.
