Saturday Recruiting Tidbits

Two of LSU's top quarterback targets were on display at the Columbus Elite 11 event, and the LSU staff got a firsthand look. A new 2015 offer went out, and two other 2014 prospects have the Tigers in their list of finalists. Head inside for all the details.

All eyes were on two of LSU's primary QB targets on Saturday at the Elite 11 event in Columbus, Ohio. DeShone Kizer and Brandon Harris each took part in the festivities, and Kizer did enough to earn an invite to The Opening.

Because their sons were also participating in the event, Les Miles and Cam Cameron were on-hand to get another firsthand look at both Kizer and Harris.

Harris has been hitting the road hard the last couple weeks. He stopped by Alabama earlier this week then visited Ohio State on Friday while he was in town for the Elite 11. He spoke with Scout's Derek Young and Bill Greene about where things stand right now.

The LSU camp season officially got underway Saturday as the staff hosted the special teams camp at the LSU football facility. 2015 long snapper Blake Ferguson, younger brother of current LS Reid Ferguson, informed TSD's Hunter Paniagua that he got an offer from LSU after the camp.

Scout's Chad Simmons spoke with a pair of 2014 prospects receiving attention from LSU.

One was four-star LB Petera Wilson. He picked up an offer from LSU back in the fall, and has narrowed his list to 12. The Tigers made the cut, and you can check out who else is on the list in this update.

Simmons also brought this update on OL Corey Martinez, who picked up a LSU offer earlier this spring. Martinez also has LSU in his list of finalists, narrowing it down to a final six.
