Bugg turns down the Baltimore Orioles

LSU signee Parker Bugg missed most of his senior season because of an injury. However, that didn't stop the Baltimore Orioles from drafting him in the 34th round of the 2013 Draft. Bugg received a very serious offer from the organization, but it wasn't enough to keep him from Baton Rouge.

TSD has learned that LSU signee Parker Bugg has turned down an offer from the Baltimore Orioles and will report to Baton Rouge for the fall semester. Bugg was drafted by the Orioles organization in the 34th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft despite an injury that cut his senior season in half.

Bugg was reportedly offered top-ten round money to sign with the club, but it was enough for him to change his decision. One interesting note is that Bugg informed TSD's Austin Cooper that he would be playing professional baseball at this time if he had signed with a school other than LSU in his recruiting process.

The draws of the LSU culture and contention for a National Championship were too much for Bugg to pass up at this time.
