Ferguson commits to LSU

With an impressive list of recruits on campus for LSU's SEC opener against Auburn, the Tigers landed a commitment from special teams standout Blake Ferguson.

2015 long snapper Blake Ferguson made his commitment to LSU Saturday afternoon.

The younger brother of current LSU long snapper Reid Ferguson, Blake's pledge keeps the long snapper bloodlines at LSU going. He picked up an LSU offer this summer after the special teams camp in June.

It only took a few months for him to decide to pull the trigger and commit to the Tigers.

Ferguson ranks as the No. 1 long snapper in the 2015 class, according to Chris Rubio, the authority on prospective snappers.

Ferguson is expected to red shirt during his older brother's senior season, then take over the long snapper reins for the 2016 season. If all goes according to plan, LSU will have a Ferguson snapping the ball through the 2019 season.
