Former Louisville commit sets LSU visit

Fresh on the market, George Rushing has set an official visit to LSU after decommitting from Louisville on Wednesday. The HS teammate of Tiger pledge John Battle will trip to Baton Rouge before the end of the month.

George Rushing (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) has set an official visit to LSU for the weekend of Jan. 24, according to Scout's Jason Higdon.

The three-star WR recently dropped his commitment to Louisville after Charlie Strong's move to Texas. Rushing also has visits set to Wisconsin (Jan. 17) and TCU (Jan. 29).

Rushing is a friend of LSU commit John Battle, who will accompany him on his official visit. LSU and Rushing are only in the early stages of their relationship, and the Tigers will continue to monitor his situation in the coming weeks.

With more spots available in this class after the misses at the Under-Armour game, LSU is evaluating more prospects to determine who they will try to take. Rushing's one of the early names on that radar, and is someone worth keeping an eye on.

Rushing ranks as the No. 30 WR in the state of Florida, and ranks No. 174 at his position in the country. At 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, shows some solid breakaway speed and was a weapon in the open field for Cardinal Gibbons.
