LSU lands commitment from 2015 TE

LSU received a commitment Wednesday night from 2015 TE Hanner Shipley (Marble Falls, Texas). He's a 6-foot-5, 275-pound blocking TE. Stick with TSD for more details on this new addition to the Tigers' 2015 class.

2015 TE Hanner Shipley committed to LSU on Wednesday night after receiving an offer from Tiger TE coach Steve Ensminger.

The Tiger coaches watched Shipley's film and immediately reached out to the under-the-radar prospect. Ensminger extended him the offer, and Shipley accepted on the spot. The LSU coaches envision him as a big blocking tight end that will likely be in line to replace Dillon Gordon.

Shipley becomes the fifth player in LSU's 2015 class, joining five-star DB Kevin Toliver, DB Xavier Lewis, RB Nicholas Brossette and LS Blake Ferguson.

There are plenty more details to come on this addition to the 2015 class, so join the TSD staff on the Message Boards for all the latest.
