Granier has not been offered by LSU, but he did speak with LSU recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson last Thursday. Granier said he has not had a chance to talk at length about where he stands with the Tigers, but he does hope to receive an offer in the near future.
LSU definitely wants to add at least one more offensive linemen to this class. Right now, the primary target is Derrick Kelly, who will take his official visit this coming weekend. According to his coach, LSU is in great shape with Kelly, so the Tigers will make their primary focus to lock him in.
If things don't go as planned with Kelly, LSU could turn to Granier, who is currently 6-foot-7, 340 pounds after his senior season. He said the LSU coaches have his senior film and they will continue to evaluate him over the next couple weeks.
Granier also has an official visit scheduled to Vanderbilt on Jan. 24, when he'll get the chance to meet the new coaching staff. He's also in talks with Tulane and UL-Lafayette about possibly visiting there as well.
