Tiger commit to visit Oklahoma

LSU DE commit Deondre Clark will take an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend. The Sooners are making a strong press to flip this Tiger pledge.

LSU DE commit Deondre Clark (Oklahoma City/Douglass) will take an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend, according to Scout's Bob Pryzbolo, publisher of SoonersIllustrated.com.

Clark originally planned to visit Arizona State this weekend, but as of Wednesday afternoon, he changed is mind to visit the Sooners.

Oklahoma has become a very serious threat to LSU for Clark's signature come Signing Day. The Sooners continue to build momentum with Clark as his family wants to keep him close to home for college.

"They picked up 10 times harder than last month," Clark said earlier this month at the Semper-Fidelis All-American Game. "My family wants me to stay close, so it might play a part in my decision on Signing Day."

LSU expects to host Clark for an official visit next weekend (Jan. 24), where they will make a strong press to make sure he stays in the Tigers' class. Clark remains committed, but if family wins out, it's likely that he does not wind up in Baton Rouge.

Clark has also mentioned the possibility of taking an official visit to Alabama before the cycle comes to an end.

He plans to make a final decision during a ceremony at his high school on National Signing Day.
