He originally planned to take an official visit to Oregon but will instead head to Louisiana then take that trip to Eugene before Signing Day. Lealaimatafao has family in the Baton Rouge area and will drive in Saturday morning and stay until Monday.
That's all part of a concentrated effort by LSU to make a late press on this three-star prospect. The Tigers extended him an offer last week, and LSU immediately entered contention.
Lealaimatafao decommitted from Texas after Mack Brown's resignation and took four of his official visits before the dead period began last month. He's already seen Ole Miss, Arizona State, UCLA and Texas, and no school seems to have a significant advantage at this point.
The Tigers don't have any true defensive tackles committed in the 2014 class, and that remains a major priority. Ole Miss commit Breeland Speaks will take an official visit this weekend, and former Miami commit Travonte Valentine will take his official on Jan. 24.

Lealaimatafao is very much in LSU's plans as well, so look for the Tigers to really ramp up their efforts in the coming weeks, starting with the unofficial visit this weekend.
