Young's LSU official begins Sunday night

After back-to-back visits to Arkansas and Oklahoma State, Kenny Young will cap off a long weekend with an official to LSU. The four-star LB is expected to arrive in Baton Rouge on Sunday night to begin the festivities.

Four-star LB Kenny Young will arrive in Baton Rouge on Sunday night to begin his official visit with LSU.

It's been a busy week for Young as he first left Louisiana on Wednesday for an official visit to Arkansas. From there he went straight to Oklahoma State for a visit and will return home to New Orleans on Sunday afternoon.

From there, Young will hop in the car and drive to Baton Rouge to begin his official Sunday night. He'll be hosted by former John Curtis teammate Duke Riley.

In addition to his visits to Fayetteville and Stillwater, Young has also taken an official to Texas A&M. His final visit will be to UCLA next weekend, Jan. 31.

Most feel that LSU and UCLA are the two leaders in Young's recruitment, with the Bruins holding a slight edge over the Tigers heading down the stretch. But LSU has made a strong push since the start of the contact period with the Tiger coaches making several visits to see him in-person these last couple weeks.

LSU still has some work left to accomplish, and this upcoming official visit will go a long way in making that happen. The Tigers should get a better idea where they stand with him leading up to his National Signing Day announcement.
