2014 DE/OLB Sione Teuhema and his brother Maea Teuhema each made the trip to Baton Rouge this weekend. Sione's a four-star prospect and his brother Maea is a four-star offensive guard for the 2015 class.
The two brothers have been committed to Texas since late May, but with the coaching change in Austin, the Teuhemas at least considered the possibility of exploring other options. They said back then that they would both attend the same school, and LSU does have legitimate interest in both.
The Tigers first offered the Teuhemas in April 2013 when the pair made an unofficial visit to campus. LSU never closed the door on them and are now looking for a late steal for both the 2014 and 2015 class.
Though Sione ranks as the No. 28 OLB in the country, LSU considers him more of a pass-rushing hybrid. At 6-foot-4, he has great length and speed off the edge and was one of the top performers along the defensive line at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
His brother Maea is one of the top prospects in the 2015 class and ranks as the No. 2 OG in the country. At 6-foot-5, 335 pounds, Maea is an absolute mauler on the offensive line with elite power and aggressiveness.
What chances LSU has at a flip remains to be seen, but with a visit on the final weekend before NSD, the Tigers at least have an opportunity to make a late move. For more updates on the Teuhemas brother, follow along on the TSD Message Board.
