LSU has received a National Letter of Intent from K Cameron Gamble. The three-star prospect is officially a Tiger.
Kickers are important too, and LSU
got a pretty good one in Cameron Gamble
. A member of the Chris Sailer kicking program, which has funneled kickers to LSU in the past, Gamble attended the LSU special teams camp in June 2012. There he did enough to impress LSU special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey and land on LSU's radar for a potential offer. After the next special teams camp wrapped up in July, McGaughey decided to extend Gamble an offer, and he committed on the spot.
Gamble ranks as one of the Top 10 kickers, according to Sailer's rankings. Gamble has a powerful leg and kickoffs are his speciality. At the very least, he can replace James Hairston
as the team's kickoff specialist once his career comes to an end. But Gamble has loads of potential as well, and look for him to compete for place kicking duties down the line.
