HD VIDEO: Quantavius Leslie

Come inside with TSD for the latest on LSU senior wide receiver Quantavius Leslie, fresh off a big scrimmage.

Rising senior Quantavius Leslie is part of an LSU receiving corps with a golden opportunity this spring, with two starting spots from 2013 vacated by underclassmen headed to the NFL.

Leslie, who's been in an out of a green jersey this spring, finally had his break-out moment during Saturday's scrimmage, racking up a reported 135 yards and three touchdowns on four receptions.

TSD spoke with Leslie about his effort in the scrimmage, LSU's offense and new quarterbacks as well as how he's adjusted from the junior college game.

It's all below in this HD video, followed by a full transcript of the interview.

Ben Love: You had a big scrimmage on Saturday. Tell me about it.

Quantavius Leslie: I just went into the scrimmage with a different mindset. I did what I knew I was capable of doing. I ran a couple of good routes, got past the defense and the quarterbacks made good throws.

BL: Do you think you bring maybe a downfield element to this receiving corps that it needs after guys like Odell Beckham left?

QL: I think I can stretch the field pretty good.

BL: So far what have you seen from Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris?

QL: They can really throw the ball downfield.

BL: Do you get a sense the offense is going to look a little different this year than it did last year?

QL: Not really. LSU offense is going to be LSU offense. We're going to run the ball. We're going to pass the ball, and we're going to do what we know we can do.

BL: What are some of the advantages you think you have on the other receivers with your skillset?

QL: Just height-wise. Everybody is athletic. I've still got Travin [Dural], John [Diarse], Kevin [Spears] and Avery [Peterson]. I've got a bunch of athletic guys around me.

BL: The transition from the JuCo game, is it about what you thought it would be?

QL: It was more difficult than I thought it would be. Coming from JuCo, where I had a spread offense, to here, where we have a pro-style offense, it was very difficult.

BL: In your opinion what's left for you to work on before the season starts?

QL: Just catching more balls and concentrating on catching balls in traffic. At the top of my routes I still need to get my hips down and stuff.
