Three-star Adrian Magee commits to LSU

Three-star OG Adrian Magee (Franklinton) committed to LSU on Sunday night. He becomes the 10th pledge for the Tigers' 2015 class, and the second offensive lineman to commit under new coach Jeff Grimes.

LSU received its 10th commitment for the 2015 class on Sunday when three-star OG Adrian Magee (Franklinton) made his pledge.

Magee ranks as the No. 25 offensive guard in the country, and the No. 15 overall prospect in Louisiana.

Magee is the second offensive lineman committed to LSU in the 2015 class, joining four-star OG Maea Teuhema (Keller, Texas). The Tigers signed a pair of guards in the 2014 class in Garrett Brumfield and William Clapp. Coach Grimes is actively recruiting several other guard and tackle prospects though out the nation, including Jerry Tillery, Drew Richmond, Matthew Burrell and Conner Dyer.

Magee received an LSU offer in February after attending the Tigers' Junior Day. It was his third offer at the time, as LSU joined Louisiana Tech and Oklahoma State on his list.

The Tigers quickly jumped to the top, but Magee held off on committing until a couple months later. He's visited campus several times since that trip for Junior Day, most recently on April 5 for the Spring Game.

Magee measures in at about 6-foot-4, 330 pounds and will be an interior offensive lineman on the next level. Not only does he have the size, but Magee's also light on his feet, and his flexibility helps him move well.

Franklinton coach Shane Smith said this about Magee in a February interview:

"We've had big kids before, and sometimes those big kids lack flexibility and the ability to move," Smith said. "He's a flexible kid, and we could tell that at a young age. He has flexibility in his hips and he can move well for his size."
