Deng Deng will visit LSU

Come inside with TSD's Ben Love for the latest on LSU's recruitment of 2014 JuCo forward Deng Deng ...

Lee College forward Deng Deng (6-8, 215) will take an official visit to LSU's campus on Thursday, a team source confirmed to TSD.

Deng, a former 2013 prospect on the junior college level, was an LSU commitment for a stretch of time before reclassifying to the 2014 class.

He heads to Baton Rouge fresh off a visit to Nebraska that ended Wednesday afternoon. Prior to that Deng visited Waco and Scott Drew's Baylor Bears.

Those two programs along with LSU are considered to be the favorites to land Deng, a powerful forward who had a big year and is highly esteemed in many junior college rankings.

LSU assistant David Patrick is the Tigers' lead recruiter for Deng. Patrick's Australian roots bolster the Bayou Bengals' chances of landing the Melbourne native.

Deng is currently the only 2014 prospect the Tigers plan to bring to campus for an official visit.
