---Jared Poché made his first of four Cape Cod starts on Sunday, lasting five innings but taking a loss after only surrendering two runs (one earned). He threw 51 of his 79 total pitches for strikes, but did walk three batters during his start. Each of Poché's three remaining starts will be five innings each before he returns to Louisiana for the rest of the summer.

---Danny Zardon has had a hot start at the plate for the Harwich Mariners, starting all four of his games at third base. Two of his six hits have been for extra bases, and he's the only Tiger to appear thus far in multiple games hitting higher than .300.

---Most of Conner Hale's work this summer has been at first base, though he does also have a start at first base. He also has the only home run hit at this point in the summer by an LSU player.

---Of the freshmen pitchers that didn't appear in a game last season for LSU, Andrew Mitchell has had an intriguing start to the summer. He has more strikeouts than innings pitched so far, but he also has 13 walks in 13 2/3 innings. This summer will be big for guys like Mitchell, Jesse Stallings and Troy Whitty to show LSU of what they're capable.
