Mays decommits from LSU

2016 point guard Skylar Mays has opened his recruitment back up. TSD has the latest inside.

University High point guard Skylar Mays has reopened his recruitment, decommitting from LSU, the player informed TSD Sunday.

Mays, a 2016 prospect, originally committed to the Tigers on February 8 during an LSU-Auburn basketball game.

According to the 6-foot-3, 180-pounder, he'd prefer to ponder his decision now as opposed to later in the recruiting process.

"I just want to make sure I'm making the right choice," Mays told TSD. "When I make my decision, I want to make sure I have all the necessary info.

"I still love LSU a lot and will be going to their home football and basketball games and stuff. I'd rather second guess now than later."

Mays has offers from LSU and Southeastern Louisiana and has also received strong interest from Tulsa and Vanderbilt and UNLV.
