Moses, Ealy make early 2017 rankings

Scout released its first rankings for the Class of 2017, and a pair of teammates from Baton Rouge, including an LSU commit, made the cut.

With the Class of 2017 entering their sophomore seasons, Scout released Thursday its initial rankings.

A pair of high school teammates from Baton Rouge made the cut. Check out the full list of the 82 recruits that received at least four-star ratings.

LSU commit Dylan Moses made history in April when he became the first ever high school freshman to receive a five-star ranking. He retained that lofty rating Thursday as one of only two five-star prospects in the entire nation.

Moses committed to LSU almost a year ago in September 2013. He worked out multiple days during LSU's Elite Camp last month, training as both a running back and a linebacker. There's still more than two years left until he signs, but he's already a landmark pledge for the Tigers' future.

His U-High teammate, Adrian Ealy, also made this first batch of rankings for 2017. He comes in as a four-star offensive tackle.

Ealy emerged on the recruiting scene earlier this summer. He landed offers from both LSU and Texas in early June. Florida and Florida State have since joined the mix as well.
