Kevin Henry flips from LSU to Oklahoma State

Central (La.) safety Kevin Henry has flipped his commitment from hometown LSU to Oklahoma State

Four-star safety Kevin Henry flipped his commitment Tuesday from LSU to Oklahoma State.

The Central standout had been committed to the Tigers since January. He pledged about two weeks after picking up an offer from LSU. Over the summer though he started taking a more open approach to his recruiting process, and the Cowboys pursued him heavily.

Henry's decision to flip doesn't come as a major surprise though. He told TSD last week that he "wasn't as solid as he was" in his commitment to LSU.

"Once you get to playing and start to realize that other colleges how much they show love to you, you catch their attention," Henry said.

Oklahoma State reportedly had coaches at his game last weekend against Jesuit. Henry visited Stillwater before he committed to the Tigers, and he mentioned that trip last week.

"It felt like everything was perfect," Henry said. "They show a lot of love."

LSU's class of defensive backs is still solid without Henry's commitment. The Tigers' still have five-star CB Kevin Toliver and Xavier Lewis, with in-state targets like Donte Jackson and Deshawn Raymond still in the board, not to mention other five-stars like Iman Marshall and Kendall Sheffield still considering the Tigers.
