LSU offers trio of South Florida teammates

LSU was active in South Florida this week, and the Tigers extended three offers to 2016 teammates from American Heritage High School

LSU made a big splash in Florida this week, extending offers to three 2016 teammates from powerhouse American Heritage near Miami.

Assistant coach Corey Raymond was spotted in his recruiting region at the American Heritage game Thursday night. He was there to check on four-star cornerback Tarvarus McFadden, but a trio of underclassmen also caught his eye.

Three-star defensive end Brian Burns, three-star wide receiver Brandon Johnson and tight end Nick Eubanks all picked up offers from the Tigers.

Burns, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound pass rusher already has an impressive list of offers. Schools like Clemson, Miami, Wisconsin and UCF, among others, have already extended offers to him. Now LSU joins the list.

Johnson, a 6-foot-3 receiver also rates as a three-star prospect, the No. 56 pass catcher in the nation. In addition to LSU, he also has some SEC offers from schools like Tennessee and South Carolina in addition to other programs like Miami and Louisville.

LSU makes offer No. 1 for Eubanks, who's playing his first season of football. The 6-foot-6 tight end played basketball to this point, and now he's transitioning to the gridiron. LSU recognized his potential and made sure to get on the board early with an offer.
