LSU commit Xavier Lewis sets two visits

LSU cornerback commit Xavier Lewis has set a pair of official visits to schools in the Tigers' division

LSU cornerback commit Xavier Lewis said Monday that he has set a pair of official visits to schools in the SEC West.

Lewis said he will take an official to Mississippi State the weekend of Nov. 1 when the Bulldogs face Arkansas. He'll then take a trip up to Fayetteville on Nov. 22 when the Razorbacks host Ole Miss.

Lewis does also plan to take an official visit to LSU, but he has not set a date for that yet. He said it will probably come after the season.

Lewis committed to the Tigers on two different occasions. His first came in August 2013, but he backed off shortly before National Signing Day in February because he wanted to explore all his options. He rejoined the LSU class though in July, announcing his new commitment during a television broadcast of The Opening.

At the time he said it was his "final decision" and would not take any official visits elsewhere. But it would appear that continued attention from other programs has enticed him to at least take some trips. He added that he isn't sure if he'll take his other two allotted visits.
