Start getting your signs ready now, because ESPN College Gameday announced Sunday it will travel to LSU next week for the Tigers' showdown with undefeated Ole Miss.
The nation's premier college football pregame show will set up on the Parade Grounds on Saturday, marking the 10th time LSU has hosted Chris Fowler and the GameDay crew. That's the second most of all SEC programs, and it will be LSU's 22nd overall appearance on the show. The Tigers are 14-7 when featured on GameDay and 5-4 when it's held in Baton Rouge.
LSU is coming off a thorough, 41-3 rout of Kentucky this weekend. Meanwhile, Ole Miss defeated Tennessee, 34-3 to remain undefeated and in the top three of the national polls. The Rebels hosted GameDay earlier this year for the first time, when pop star Katy Perry (pictured above) called out the LSU fan base by throwing corn dogs at the cameras.
This will be the first time LSU has hosted GameDay since the Alabama game in 2012. The Tigers were featured last year in the game against Georgia in Athens.
The Tigers haven't won a GameDay contest since 2011 against Georgia, a three-game losing streak.
GameDay's first visit to Baton Rouge came in 1996 when the then-ranked No. 11 Tigers lost to No. 10 Alabama, 26-0. The show set up then on the ramps of the PMAC.
Will Lee Corso don the mascot head of Mike the Tiger? Tune in Saturday to find out.
