Les Miles will lead LSU on the field Saturday with a heavy heart.
Miles' mother, Martha, passed away Friday night, a team spokesman confirmed to The Advocate. No cause of death has been announced. Martha was either 90 or 91 years old.
Miles has not commented about his mother's passing. He made an appearance on ESPN College Gameday, which was held on the LSU Parade Grounds, but did not mention the death during the interview.
Miles lost his father, Bubba, in 2000. His sister, Hope Browne, died in a car accident in 2011.
