LSU RB Magee took 'inadvertent finger' to eye

Terrence Magee took an "inadvertent finger" to the eye against Ole Miss, according to LSU coach Les Miles. He will miss some practice time this week

LSU running back Terrence Magee took an "inadvertent finger" to the eye against Ole Miss, Les Miles said Tuesday.

Magee came out of the game early in the second half and did not reappear. He had run for 74 yards on 12 attempts, plus two catches for 45 yards before coming out of the game.

Miles said the "gouging" was definitely accidental.

Miles said he wasn't certain that Magee practiced on Tuesday, the Tigers' first day back on the field since. But Miles is optimistic that he'll return by the end of the week, and Magee should play in the Alabama game on Nov. 8.

"He's fine," Miles said. "I don't know if he's practicing, but he certainly will by the end of the week."

Magee has 418 rushing yards and three touchdowns this season. He also has 10 catches for 122 yards.
