LSU at No. 16 in CFP Selection Committee Poll

LSU comes in at No. 16 in the second set of rankings released by the College Football Playoff Selection Committee on Tuesday

LSU didn't need to a play game this past weekend to move up in the newest batch of rankings released by the CFP Selection Committee on Tuesday.

The Tigers are up three spots to No. 16 in the latest poll after checking in at No. 19 in the first batch released last week. LSU's the fifth highest ranked team from the SEC Western division, five spots behind No. 11 Ole Miss, who has lost consecutive games, including one to LSU on Oct. 25.

LSU holds a 2-2 record against teams currently ranked in the Top 25, with losses to No. 1 Mississippi State and No. 3 Auburn. The Tigers have beaten No. 11 Ole Miss and No. 25 Wisconsin. Next up for LSU is No. 5 Alabama.

LSU's the third highest ranked team with two losses, behind No. 11 Ole Miss and No. 15 Oklahoma.
