Huge visitor weekend on tap for LSU hoops

The LSU basketball staff is taking advantage of an electric weekend on campus with Alabama football coming to Tiger Stadium. A trio of five-star visitors will descend upon Baton Rouge, and TSD has the latest scoop.

When LSU hosts Alabama on the gridiron, it's expected that some of the best prep football prospects in the country will be on the sidelines inside Tiger Stadium.

This time around, when the Tigers and Tide meet Saturday night in Baton Rouge, those football blue-chippers will be joined by three top-shelf roundball talents in what's quickly shaping up to be the biggest visitor weekend in years for the LSU basketball program.

TSD has confirmed LSU will welcome to campus two official visitors in five-star shooting guard Antonio Blakeney (Oak Ridge HS, Fla.) and JaQuan Lyle, now at the IMG Academy and a one-time five-star backcourt prospect in the Class of 2014.

Adding to the star-studded lineup in attendance this weekend is 2015 commit Ben Simmons, the No. 2 player in the class according to Scout. The Aussie forward - who attends Montverde Academy, where current Tiger Jalyn Patterson prepped - is scheduled to come on an unofficial visit.

Check out video highlights of Lyle and, below that, premium members at TSD can read even more information on the trio of visitors, including tidbits on Lyle's long journey over the last year and when he may be eligible.
