LSU extended an offer this week to 2017 prospect Lowell Narcisse from St. James. Considered one of the best athletes in the state, Cam Cameron also believes him to be the best quarterback in his class.
"It feels great," Narcisse said of the offer. "It gives me something to push myself harder and work on. I talked to Coach Cameron and he told me that he and Coach Frank [Wilson] had wanted to offer me for a while but they hadn't been able to get in contact with me."
Cameron was able to get finally get him on the phone to ensure Narcisse knew just how much he's wanted by the home-state Tigers.
Narcisse was one of the to performers at LSU's camps this summer. He worked out exclusively as a quarterback, and performed just as well as others like Feleipe Franks, Shea Patterson and Justin McMillan, who all have offers from the Tigers. He made his case then to Coach Cameron, and he's now shown enough through his sophomore season to earn his offer.
This marks Narcisse's second football offer, as LSU joins Illinois on his list. It's the third in-state offer the Tigers have extended in-state for the 2017 class, with University Lab duo Dylan Moses (a commit) and Adrian Ealy already on the board.
