Four-star DB Garrett Taylor sets LSU official

2015 four-star defensive back Garrett Taylor has set an official visit to LSU for the weekend of Dec. 5

Four-star defensive back Garrett Taylor will make a pair of trips to LSU in the span of a month.

The former Michigan commit took an unofficial visit to Baton Rouge this past weekend for the Alabama game. He'll return Dec. 5 for an official visit, according to Scout's Michael Clark.

The Tigers have really been trending in the right direction with Taylor since he decommitted from the Wolverines last month. DB coach Corey Raymond has made Taylor a big priority, and LSU's reputation for producing NFL DBs has grabbed his attention.

All reports from his gameday visit have been positive, and it was enough to entice him to return for another trip.

"[Coach Raymond's] also said they’re really excited about me as a player and that they like my size," Taylor said in an interview before his LSU visit. "He said they see me at corner and safety, which is important because they’re looking for guys who can play both."

Taylor plans to take an unofficial visit to Ohio State on Nov. 22 and an official visit to Penn State on Nov. 29. He's also interested in Virginia Tech and Miami.
