LSU target Antonio Blakeney drops 63 points

Elite 2015 guard Antonio Blakeney put up jaw-dropping numbers Friday night with LSU in the building. Read more inside.

Five-star shooting guard Antonio Blakeney scored 63 points in his team's season opener Friday night, leading Oak Ridge (Orlando) to an 85-84 win over Liberty Christian Prep (Taveres).

The LSU target, who's also considering Kentucky and to a lesser extent Missouri, impressed with several notable Tigers in the building.

Associate head coach David Patrick made the trip to Florida on the eve of LSU's opener versus Gardner-Webb Saturday to watch Blakeney. Also in attendance was Ben Simmons, Scout's No. 2 overall player in 2015, who signed a National Letter of Intent to play at LSU on Wednesday.

Blakeney, Simmons and JaQuan Lyle were on LSU's campus as visitors last weekend for the LSU-Alabama football game.

With only five days remaining in the early signing period, it seems likely Blakeney will wait until the regular period in April to sign.

But with scoring outbursts like this, you can guarantee there will be no shortage of suitors putting their bid in for the former Louisville commit.
