The Tiger announced earlier this week he's been invited to participate in the East-West Shrine Game, a showcase for college seniors to perform for NFL brass and boost their chances of reaching the league.
The game will be played on Jan. 17, 2015, in Tampa, Fla. It will be the 90th edition of this traditional contest. The NFL Network will have the broadcast.
Past LSU stars like Terrence Toliver and Joseph Barksdale played in the Shrine Game back in 2011. It's one of a handful of collegiate all-star games designed to help prospect NFL players along with the Senior Bowl and NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
This is a piece of good news for Hilliard after a rough week. The senior back suffered a shoulder injury against Alabama that will kept him home for this past weekend's game against Arkansas. He's also expected to miss the season finale against Texas A&M but could return for the bowl game.
Hilliard has not yet accepted his Shrine Game invite, but it's a positive sign he'll have the opportunity to get on the field at least one more time.
