Les Miles: 'Been too long' since LSU's played

Speaking for the final time before LSU's game against Texas A&M on Thanksgiving, Les Miles said his team's eager to get back on the field after consecutive losses and a bye week

LSU hasn't played in almost two weeks, hasn't won a game in more than a month.

The Tigers are eager to change both of those Thursday against Texas A&M. LSU had a Wednesday morning practice before a team Thanksgiving dinner in the afternoon. The team departs for College Station at 2:30 p.m. in advance of the Thanksgiving kickoff.

Speaking for the final time before the game, LSU coach Les Miles said his team's ready to get back to action.

“They’re looking forward to playing," Miles said. "It’s been way too long since this football team’s been on the field.”

Miles also offered up his final impression of the Aggies and their freshman quarterback Kyle Allen.

“They’re a talented football team, offense and defense. They have guys that can run to the ball, guys that are talented and make plays. Good young quarterback, and he’s going to grow into the position. Quality special teams. At times they’ve sputtered, but in reality, they’re a very talented football team.”
