The New York Giants may have gone 0-5 in November, but Odell Beckham still had quite a month.
He was rewarded for it Thursday, being named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month. Beckham had 593 receiving yards and two touchdowns in five games last month. His 118.6 yards-per-game average led the league, and he was the first rookie in NFL history to have more than 90 receiving yards in each game of a calendar month, according to Pro Football Talk.
And while all those stats are nice, one play likely solidified this honor for Beckham.
You'd have to live under a rock to not have seen the catch by now. But in case you haven't, video is embedded below if the play that had an entire country buzzing.
While that play made Beckham a household name, he's had plenty of other great moments in his first year of professional football. He has 699 receiving yards in eight games this season with five touchdowns. He's been one of only a few bright spots on a struggling Giants team, and the former LSU Tiger seems poised for a special career on the next level.
