VIDEO: Terrence Magee reacts to LSU bowl draw

Senior back spoke with TSD about the history between LSU and Notre Dame and why this is a compelling matchup for the players.

When No. 22 LSU (8-4) and Notre Dame (7-5) square off Dec. 30 in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl, it will be the 11th time the two storied programs meet on the gridiron.

The Tigers and Fighting Irish also have come together for two previous bowl games, with LSU a 27-9 winner in the 1997 Independence Bowl and, more recently, routing Notre Dame 41-14 in the 2007 Sugar Bowl.

Less than an hour after the bowl pairing was announced, LSU senior running back Terrence Magee reflected on the bowl draw, primarily the opponent, and spoke to the shared past the two programs have.

“LSU and Notre Dame, they have some history with each other in bowl games," Magee explained. "Growing up, Notre Dame’s been a big program. They’ve been on the big stage lately, playing Alabama for the national championship. I think it’s going to be a good matchup for us. I’m excited about it.”

Watch the video below for more thoughts from Magee, who finished the 2014 regular season with 545 yards rushing and caught 16 passes (third on the team).
