Paced by their sophomore duo, the Bayou Bengals overcame a slow start to bury Savannah State 75-59 in the PMAC Saturday night. Relive the LSU win with TSD.

LSU (11-2) wrapped up non-conference play with a 75-59 win over Savannah State (3-10) Saturday night in the PMAC.

The Bayou Bengals' sophomore frontcourt tandem of Jarell Martin and Jordan Mickey stole the show, combining for 50 points and 22 rebounds on an ultra-efficient 21-of-28 shooting from the field.

Tim Quarterman provided another all-around effort off the bench, posting 13 points, four assists and three steals.

LSU led by only six at the break, 31-25, but quickly stretched its lead out to double digits after halftime and never were ahead by less than eight points afterward.

It wasn't exactly a clean effort from the hometown Tigers, which did turn the ball over 18 times and started the game making only three of its first 17 shots.

Terrel Hall and Alante Fenner paced visiting Savannah State, scoring 15 apiece.

Next up for LSU is Southeastern Conference play, which begins Thursday night at Missouri.
