LSU finishes 2014 season unranked

LSU finished the season unranked in the Associated Press poll for the first time since 2008

LSU finished the 2014 season outside the Associated Press Top 25 for only the second time under Les Miles.

The Tigers haven't ended a year unranked in the AP Poll since 2008. LSU's only been outside the Top 15 once in Miles' career in Baton Rouge.

It comes as no surprise as LSU lost three of its last four games, including a 31-28 loss to Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30.

LSU went 2-3 this season against teams that landed in the final Top 25. The Tigers collected wins against No. 13 Wisconsin and No. 17 Ole Miss with losses to No. 4 Alabama, No. 11 Mississippi State and No. 22 Auburn.

The Crimson Tide were the highest ranked team from the SEC, with six teams from the conference finishing in the Top 25.

LSU also finished unranked in the Coaches' Poll. As with the AP Poll, it's the first time the Tigers have finished outside the Coaches' Top 25 since 2008.
