Jordan Mickey on Wooden Midseason Top 25 List

LSU's Jordan Mickey is one of 25 players from around the country, and one of three from the SEC, named to the Wooden Award midseason watch list.

LSU forward Jordan Mickey has been tabbed to the Midseason Top 25 List for the John R. Wooden Award, presented annually to the nation's best player.

Mickey, a sophomore forward from Dallas, is averaging 15.9 points and 10.6 rebounds a game for the Tigers, making him one of two players in the SEC currently averaging a double-double. He's also rejecting an average of 3.6 shots a game, tops in the conference.

Only two other players from the SEC made the Midseason Top 25 alongside Mickey. They are Arkansas' Bobby Portis and Kentucky's Willie Cauley-Stein.

The 39th annual Wooden Award ceremony will honor the men's and women's Wooden Award winners, and will include the presentation of the Wooden Award All American Teams on April 10-12, 2015.
