LSU visits quarterback Torrance Gibson

LSU remains in the hunt for four-star quarterback Torrance Gibson, and the Tigers stopped by his school Friday to try and flip the Ohio State commit

Les Miles and Cam Cameron took a trip to Florida on Friday before they're set to host six prospects on official visits this weekend.

The LSU coaches were at the school of four-star quarterback Torrance Gibson, getting some face-time with him to start the final weekend before National Signing Day. Gibson took his official visit to Baton Rouge this past weekend, and the Tigers have growing optimism they have a chance to flip this Ohio State commit.

Gibson's been committed to the Buckeyes since the fall, but the logjam of quarterbacks in Columbus has him seriously considering other options. Auburn also remains in the mix. He took his official there on Jan. 16, and Gus Malzahn's offense may be the best fit for his athleticism.

But Gibson recognizes the NFL career of Cam Cameron and believes he may be the best coach to get him to the next level. That has LSU firmly in contention, and anything could really happen between now and NSD.

Ohio State had Urban Meyer and several other coaches at his school on Friday as well, so the Buckeyes aren't going down without a fight. We'll find out his final decision Wednesday when he sends someone his National Letter of Intent.
