The question from a fan, and I paraphrase: Is it a foregone conclusion that the sophomore duo of Jarell Martin and Jordan Mickey are going pro after the 2014-15 season?
Mickey, a power forward from Dallas, is posting robust averages this season of 16.4 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.7 blocks.
Martin, an inside-out forward from Baton Rouge, isn't far behind, averaging 16.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists a game.
Jones hardly ever answers questions looking ahead of the current season, but he gave a candid take to the inquiry from the fan clad in purple and gold.
Jones on keeping Martin/Mickey: "As the season progresses and April gets here ... it's about where they'll be projected." #LSU— Ben Love (@BenLoveTSD) February 3, 2015
CJJ: "Both of those guys will be advised right way. They've got good people around them...They'll weigh options heavily. It's not a given."— Ben Love (@BenLoveTSD) February 3, 2015
TSD will continue to give updates on the sophomore duo as the season progresses and comes to an end. Already in the last few weeks we've provided quotes and insight from an anonymous NBA scout on Martin and Mickey.
