VIDEO: LSU in the mix for Malik Crowfield

College programs have had an eye on 2016 Riverside wing Malik Crowfield for some time. The three-star prospect shared the latest on his recruitment with Scout, including his take on LSU and which newcomer is making a bid.

Riverside Academy junior Malik Crowfield and the Rebels are having another highly productive season, angling for a third straight Class 2A championship in the state of Louisiana.

Crowfield (6-4, 190) is no stranger to performing on the biggest stages, taking home Most Outstanding Player honors in last year's state title game after pouring in 35 points and 12 rebounds against Lakeview.

The 2016 three-star prospect had another big outing last week during a trip to Baton Rouge, scoring a team-high 18 points and posting six rebounds and four assists in an 81-69 win at University High, another state hoops power (stats per Andrew Lopez/NOLA.com).

After the game Crowfield, who plays alongside LSU football target and two-sport standout Herb McGee, gave an update on his recruitment.

He indicated the schools coming after him hardest are LSU, Tulsa, UTEP, Baylor, UNO and, the newcomer on his list, Massachusetts.

Crowfield, who at one time was garnering interest from Arizona, said playing for the home-state Tigers is something he's considering.

"I'm probably interested if they've got another wing I can play with," explained Crowfield.
