LSU has postponed its game against Southeastern Louisiana to Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to avoid inclement weather forecasted for Wednesday evening.
The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., but the Tigers decided to postpone it 24 hours to prevent any further rain delays. That's the second time in a week that a game has been rescheduled to avoid weather. LSU moved its Sunday game against Boston College last weekend to Friday and played a doubleheader against the Eagles.
The schedule change for the SELU game leaves LSU with a busy week ahead. The Tigers will play four games in four straight days, with a three-game series against Princeton starting on Friday. LSU will also play six games in seven days, with a pair of midweek contests scheduled next week against Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday and Grambling on Wednesday.
The Tigers will then go to Houston the following weekend for the Houston College Classic in Minute Maid Park.
Freshman Doug Norman will start for LSU against SELU on Thursday. That will be his second career start after he surrendered five runs in 4 2/3 innings last week against Nicholls State.
These two teams met in the opening round of the NCAA Regional last year, with the Tigers winning 8-4.
