LSU (21-8, 10-6) picked up its third win in a row Saturday afternoon, dispatching of Ole Miss (19-10, 10-6) by the final score of 73-63 in the House that Pete Built.

Speaking or Mr. Maravich, the play of LSU sophomore Tim Quarterman on Saturday evoked his legacy, as well as that of Shaquille O'Neal, when Quarterman became the third player in program history to register a triple-double, posting 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Quarterman was joined in double figures by Jarell Martin (game-high 18 points and 12 rebounds), Jordan Mickey (11 points and four blocks after a slow start) and Keith Hornsby, whose 16 points represented the 12th straight contest for Hornsby scoring in double digits.

LSU trailed Andy Kennedy's club 27-23 at the half, victims of a horrific 29.6% shooting clip in the opening 20 minutes, before exploding for 50 points in the second stanza.

Ole Miss leading scorer Stefan Moody again had an off day versus the Tigers, finishing with 15 points on 3-of-16 shooting (8-of-8 from the charity stripe). Quarterman, in the midst of his career day offensively, was the primary player putting the clamps on Moody.

With the victory LSU secured its first winning season in the SEC since 2008-09 and heads into the final two-game home stretch of conference play tied for fourth in the league.

The Tigers next play Wednesday at home versus Tennessee.
