Alabama commit Shyheim Carter and TCU commit Sewo Olonilua attended LSU's practice Tuesday, the Tigers' second of the spring.
Carter made the trip from Kentwood and remains one of LSU's top targets in the 2016 class. He's been committed to the Crimson Tide since July, but that hasn't stopped the Tigers' pursuit.
TSD posted an update on Carter last week, where he says he's still evaluating his options to measure up other schools to Alabama.
Carter was seen at LSU's indoor practice facility observing the defensive backs as they went through individual drills. Player personnel director Austin Thomas spent most of his time escorting the four-star corner around the field and dropping info on how he'd fit in with the rest of the Tiger DBs.
Olonilua was also being shown around the practice field. He's been committed to TCU since December, a four-star prospect from the Houston area. He's ranked as the No. 18 running back in the country, though some think he could play linebacker on the next level.
LSU's bigger need in 2016 is at linebacker, and it seems they're interested in trying to flip Olonilua. He did have an invite to attend LSU's junior day last month, but to our knowledge, wasn't able to attend. So this would've been his first visit to Baton Rouge.
Though he's been committed to the Horned Frogs for about four months, Olonilua still receives plenty of attention from other schools. Texas and Texas A&M have been considered two of the top contenders if Olonilua decides to flip his pledge, but he's mostly given the impression that he plans to stick by it.
UPDATE: 2017 quarterback Lowell Narcisse was also in attendance for LSU's spring practice. He's expected to be at LSU regularly now that his former high school quarterback coach is now an assistant at LSU under Cam Cameron. Narcisse is still wide open in the process considering how early it in his recruitment, but LSU figures to be battling Auburn at this stage. The more time he spends around LSU and Coach Cameron should only help the home team's effort.
