VIDEO: Jarell Martin in Pittsburgh

LSU sophomore forward Jarell Martin spoke with TSD about getting the program back to the Big Dance, why the Tigers have been so good this season after a loss and how LSU will deal with NC State's deep front line.

PITTSBURGH - The 2015 NCAA Tournament tips off for LSU (22-10, 11-7) Thursday night in the home of the NHL's Penguins.

Before the Tigers and NC State meet, sophomore forward Jarell Martin took a moment to reflect on the accomplishment of getting LSU to March Madness for the first time in six years.

"My main goal (when I signed) was getting here and making the NCAA Tournament, bringing the LSU tradition back," Martin told TSD. "We're definitely doing that this season, and we've got to keep pushing from here going forward.

"We came here on a mission, and we definitely want more (than just one game)."

In the video below, shot before LSU's Wednesday evening shoot-around, Martin also addressed the Tigers' penchant for bouncing back after losses, why they've been so good doing that and going up against a deep, physical Wolfpack frontcourt.
