Get to know one of Louisiana's fastest-rising sophomore prospects on the hardwood, 6-foot-6 Breaux Bridge forward Galen Alexander, with Scout's video interview.

Breaux Bridge High School has a history of producing college football players, and it's been particularly fond of sending them down Interstate 10 to LSU, which currently has three former BBHS players in the two-deep.

But the prep program's next big talent is likely to come from the gym in the person of Galen Alexander.

A rangy athlete, Alexander stands almost 6-foot-6 and weighs 205 pounds. He has suited up for the football team, playing wide receiver, but TSD has received word those days are almost certainly over.

The reason being is that colleges are starting to come after Alexander, just through with his sophomore season, in big numbers to hoop.

Already Alexander has received offers from in-state schools Tulane (first to offer) and ULL while receiving interest from and staying in contact with Houston, Murray State, Oklahoma, Rice, Southeastern (La.), Stanford and Washington.

Alexander will play with Louisiana Elite this summer on the Under Armour circuit. While in town this weekend to practice with Elite, he sat down for a video interview.
