5-star Ed Alexander commits again to LSU

LSU picked up a commitment after Saturday's Spring Game from five-star defensive tackle Ed Alexander.

Five-star defensive tackle Ed Alexander has committed again to LSU while on campus for the Spring Game.

Alexander rejoins the class after being the first to commit to LSU's 2016 class. He decommitted a few months later, but has decided to once again commit to the Tigers.

Alexander is one of two five-star defensive lineman in Louisiana this year. He ranks in the Top 20 nationally among all recruits. Alexander's the No. 6 overall defensive tackle and the third highest rated recruit in the state.

LSU has always been the team to beat for Alexander, even after he dropped that original pledge. At the time, Alexander said he wanted to take a more open approach to his recruitment, but he paid little attention to schools other than LSU.

Alexander visited campus several times this spring and opted to shut it down after spending the afternoon in Tiger Stadium.

This marks the first commit from Louisiana that Ed Orgeron has landed with the Tigers. Alexander became one of his biggest priorities upon taking the job, and Alexander should be one of many defensive tackles taken in 2016.
