VIDEO: Les Miles pleased with spring game

Following the annual LSU spring game, head coach Les Miles voiced confidence in his quarterbacks and discussed a fortified Tiger defense up the middle.

The LSU spring game hardly resembled a competition Saturday, with the White Team defeating the Purple Team 45-6, but head coach Les Miles feels the Tigers took a step forward.

In that number the quarterbacks are included.

Rising sophomore Brandon Harris completed a combined 11-of-17 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns against one interception. He tacked on 22 yards rushing.

Returning starter Anthony Jennings, a junior in 2015, connected on 13-of-20 attempts for 242 yards and two touchdowns.

"I think our quarterbacks are more competent, more capable and more confident. I think they'll continue to improve and continue to execute at a very high level," Miles told reporters postgame. "I don't know if they'll quite execute at that level (like they did today), but I think they'll certainly be good enough for us to win."

There's plenty more from Miles in the video below, including his take on the defensive middle jelling, the offensive line having a diverse but productive spring under position coach Jeff Grimes and his skill-position players on offense.
