Bucs draft Kwon Alexander in fourth round

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected former LSU outside linebacker Kwon Alexander with the 124th overall pick in the draft Saturday.

Outside linebacker Kwon Alexander became the third LSU player to come off the board in the 2015 NFL Draft when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers traded up and picked him in the fourth round with the 124th overall selection on Saturday.

Alexander played three seasons in Baton Rouge, leading the Tigers in tackles as a junior with 90 total stops. He also registered 7.5 tackles for loss and five quarterback hurries in 2014.

The Oxford, Ala., native tallied 76 combined tackles in his first two seasons on campus, with his freshman campaign cut short following six games due to a broken ankle.

Prior to drafting Alexander the Buccaneers made three offensive picks in this draft, nabbing Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston with the top overall selection and then taking offensive linemen Donovan Smith (Penn State) and Ali Marpet (Division-III Hobart).
