Texans draft Kenny Hilliard in final round

The Houston Texans drafted an LSU running back for the second straight year, this time around selecting Kenny Hilliard with the 235th overall pick in Saturday's seventh round.

Former LSU running back Kenny Hilliard became the fourth Tiger taken in the 2015 NFL Draft when the Houston Texans selected the Patterson native with the 235th overall pick in the seventh round Saturday.

Hilliard joins another former Frank Wilson product in the Texans' backfield in Alfred Blue, who Houston picked in the sixth round last year with the 181st overall selection.

A physical back, Hilliard burst onto the scene at LSU in 2011, earning SEC All-Freshman honors while rushing for eight touchdowns.

He went on to run for at least six touchdowns in all four years of his career in Baton Rouge. Hilliard ran for a combined 1,557 yards from 2011-14.
