The Calvary Baptist product nicknamed "Greedy" made the decision Saturday while on campus for the Bayou Picnic. Williams becomes the Tigers' 10th commitment in the 2016 class, and the second cornerback ranked among the best in the country.
Williams ranks as the No. 133 overall prospect, regardless of position, and is the No. 12 cornerback nationally. He's the third best at that position in the state.
Williams joins five-star corner Saivion Smith as LSU commits for 2016. The Tigers also have a commitment from four-star safety Cameron Lewis and three-star Clifford Chattman, an athlete that could play safety on the next level.
LSU offered Williams last summer when he was a top performer at the Tigers' camp. LSU has been a major player in his recruitment ever since, as he's taken multiple visits to campus. Williams had a ton of major offers, selecting LSU over schools like Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
Greedy's brother, Rodarius Williams, is also a prospect in the 2016 class. Rodarius committed to Oklahoma State in the spring.
Greedy Williams was one of dozens of recruits on campus this weekend for the Bayou Picnic. That event almost always produces a commitment or two, and Williams is the first to pop.
Williams will participate in The Opening later this summer after earning an invite at the Dallas regional in the spring.
