Logan ranks as the 21st best defensive tackle in the country and is the No. 16 overall player in Louisiana, regardless of the position. He's the second-highest ranked DT in the state behind five-stars Rashard Lawrence and Ed Alexander.
Logan has been a top target for LSU since the Tigers offered him more than a year ago. Ed Orgeron loved his game upon taking the job and has made him a major priority since joining the Tigers' coaching staff.
I'm proud to say that I am committed to LSU ???? #GeauxTigers ????— Zeus #?9?7?????™ (@glen_logan97) June 3, 2015
Logan gives LSU two commits along the defensive line, joining the five-star Alexander in the class. Logan was one of four in-state linemen to receive offers from LSU, and the Tigers are halfway from locking up the entire group. The five-star Lawrence and Stephon Taylor are the two remaining uncommitted tackles in the state.
LSU also has a commitment in the 2017 class from four-star Tyler Shelvin.
Logan is a versatile prospect that LSU sees fitting anywhere on the defensive front. He has the size to play in the middle but can also stretch out to the edge, especially if LSU moves more toward a 3-4 scheme.
Logan chose LSU over offers from schools like Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss and Mississippi State among others.
Logan is the first Destrehan prospect to commit to the Tigers since Rickey Jefferson in the 2013 class.
Logan is the Tigers' second commit this week. Four-star corner Andraez Williams committed during the Bayou Picnic over the weekend.
